QUOTE (Tony @ May 10, 2016 -> 09:29 PM)
So if I'm wrapping my head around this right, and bare with me, this whole argument is bat-s*** crazy, the transgendered person standing by you at Subway, pre-operation creeps you out and you are intolerant of them. Same goes for them going into the womens room.

However, if they have the operation, you are OK with it.

So the question then obviously becomes, how do you know if the person in the line with you at Subway had the operation? Are we doing a bit of peeking??? How would you ever know if they had the operation? Are you going to ask them, then make your determination? And obviously that's just the tip of the iceberg with these questions.

You realize how crazy this is, no?

I guess I'm outlining my position in theory only since I do not know for sure if the person has a male body part as no, I am not checking. I think Greg's position is clear unlike many of you who don't give me your exact position on this real-life scenario.

Greg's position: A person who has a male body part should be ordered to use the male restroom even if that person "identifies" with being a woman. The reason is that person has a male body part. It is unfortunate the person feels his identification with being a woman gives him the right to go to the female restroom. Now if the person with the male body part is traumatized by the idea of going to the male rest room and it might cause an anxiety attack or breakdown, Greg would be in favor of this person being escorted into the women's rest room with a relative or friend or even by himself if it's OK with everybody in the restroom. He could yell in the opening: Does anybody object to a non surgically changed transgender to come in?" (I truly don't want anybody to freak out and need medical treatment over the issue).

If the person has the full surgery yes that person is welcome to use the women's restroom because she has indeed proven this is no passing fancy or hoax, she truly is a woman.

So basically all bathrooms need security guards and transgendered people need to identify themselves as they walk into every room and building in every day of their lives.

I know, we can give them some sort of ID card to present in the event that they want to go to the bathroom

No big deal

Yes, it's kind of a big deal when you have male body parts and the sign says "women" and you want in. It's kind of a big deal.

Cause the person who wants in the women's bathroom merely is saying he "identifies" with being a female. Why should a person with still has the male body part be allowed in where women/girls might have to see such body part? Shouldnt' he be the one who is inconvenienced a bit? Or is he afraid of how he's dressed might cause backlash in the mens room. If anybody hassles him, they should be arrested.

No. I wouldn't try to kick anybody out of any restroom.

It is unreal how if you were to replace "transgendered" with "colored", you have the crux of the separate but equal system of the 60's.

I'm not smart enough to understand that comparison.

Maybe we should put Jewish star armbands on them to help with the identification process?

Same thing we would do for any admitted Middle Eastern terrorists/jihadists/suicide bombers (not professors doing math equations on airplanes) to more immediately identify an imminent threat in the bathroom...

This is reminding me of the scene from Borat when he brings the African-American prostitute to the "white traditional churchgoers" dinner party somewhere in the deep South and tries to make them feel uncomfortable.

All you do is come up with random crazy scenarios where a woman or young girl might see a "male part". No matter what you say, it all comes back to the fact that you can't imagine a penis being in a woman's bathroom. Because we all know, as soon as you enter a woman's bathroom, everyone strips naked and walks around until they go to the bathroom.

If a penis is allowed in a women's bathroom they are "made" to see it. Duh

Greg, just so we are clear here: If a man with a penis identifies himself as a woman and is dressed as a woman, technically he/she should piss next to you at the urinal, correct? Or would you hold it and use a different bathroom?

i have asked him multiple times and he has yet to answer. It all goes back to OMG THERE IS A PENIS IN THE WOMENS ROOM.

I wonder if he feels a woman transitioning to a man should have to tell everyone about the female parts before taking a pee? We just need to make a Customs-like kiosk in front of every bathroom in the united states, where everyone has to declare what is in their pants.

I thought I was clear on that. Yes he should be next to me in the men's room. No, I wouldn't walk out. I'd even have respect for the guy doing it in what I feel is the right way. I have admitted I didn't go in the Subway to eat when the person dressed in heels and a dress who was obviously a man that I did not find attractive was walking strides ahead of me. Note I did not yell at him or hit him or scream at him, I just chose to not go in the restaurant and eat at that time. Again, if that makes me the worst person ever, sorry to the universe. I must need counseling or something to become a better person.

I thought it was clear. I want the person with a male body part using the men's room. If that makes me an ogre, sorry.

I am a little surprised the parents in this country who protected little Johnny and Jane from everything imaginable in this day and age aren't on my side in this one.

Hold on. You were so disgusted that you wouldn't stand in line for a sandwich, but you would not problem taking a leak next to the guy?

Also, Greg, you still haven't described how you would police this. Do you want women with short hair and basketball shorts subjected to what happened in the link below? Do you want someone checking genitalia before people enter restrooms?

Yeah I'd take a leak next to the guy because he's using the bathroom, IMO the right bathroom. I happen to be in the bathroom at the same time, yes I'd use it. ... I told you I wasn't proud of myself for not wanting to eat after seeing the guy in a dress and high high heels waddle up to the door of Subway ahead of me. But at that time my human weaknesses hit and I wasn't particularly hungry as I found him unattractive to the eye.

As far as policing it, if a guy is wearing women's clothes I'd expect him to have the decency to use the men's room if he has his male body part.

90 percent of the time the parents are "protecting" little Johnny and Jane they don't need protecting from anything.

The irony is that your whole presence in this thread has been trying to "protect" us from those scary transgenders. Sounds like hypocrisy to me.

Well, in this situation at least there is a scenario in which there could be inappropriate behavior (little girl could see a male body part in the women's room; kind of scary for the little kid). Most of the protection of little Johnny and Jane in society are situations in where there is no situation set up for inappropriate behavior, just the parents coddling their little preciouses.

You do understand that women's bathrooms are all stalls right?

How the f*** is a kid seeing a penis in there?
