This is definitively false. Garcia has elite speed.

Sanchez has played in a 148 games in the MLB. That's basically a typical full season sample. He has 3 SBs and 3 CSs in his career in the bigs. Garcia, who doesn't even fulfill all of his base stealing potential, has stolen 191 bags in minors and is 19/22 as a big leaguer.

Yeah Sanchez is nowhere near as fast as Garcia.

Yeah, Garcia has 75 to 80 speed. Sanchez is above average, but no where near that. Probably 60 to 65.

I know Garcia is a better base stealer, but from a pure speed standpoint, Sanchez isn't a slouch. I acknowledge that Garcia is faster, but my point is basically that speed alone shouldn't deter us from hypothetically selecting the better all-around player, as his speed is not a weakness.

Yep. Garcia is definitely the faster/better baserunner but I'll throw out the major league stats. White Sox are one of the least SB per attempt teams in the bigs. Robin isn't very aggressive in thst regard. But in either case, it's still Leury even by the eye test.

So has anyone else hit a fastball as well as Saladino on that HR? Now that is a quick f***ing bat. Granted the pitch had too much of the plate but pulling that 96mph heater like that is pretty damn impressive.

He did that last year several times too. He looked like a helluva prospect. But like so many guys he just went in the tank after that good start last year. He ended up with a horrific OBP and batting average after 250 at bats or so.

I don't know if he's a good prospect or not but occasionally he really rips the ball. I think at his age 26 I'd play him more than Rollins anyway.

Is it even close between Rollins and Saladino, defensively? Given his range and arm strength, my guess is that Saladino is significantly better than the aging Rollins.

It does not seem close. Rollins' range looks limited from what I've been able to see.
