Has everyone given up?

I for one have not. As long as the sox win tonight, I sitll think we have a decent shot at this. We have seen how hot this team can get and could go on to win 5 or 6 games next week, especially at home. The sox have come back from much worse than this. Is anyone with me or am I just crazy?

Once again it doesn't matter how well we play anymore. It matters how bad the Twins play. They have 7 games left against the worst team in history, who they are 11-1 against. That is why people are giving up.

That's true. The SOX let their destiny washed away. Now the future is not in the SOX's hand anymore. Just pray for a big freakin miracle.

The Twins made up 4 games in a span of 7 games played. Can we make up 2 1/2 in a span of 11 games sure, especially when we can make up one tonight. The thing is, this team is stupid. The pitch selection in this series has pushed me over the brink. The mentality of this team appears to be lets go out and see what happens, there never seems to be a plan of attack other than swing from your heels and hope for the best.

they have 10 games left, we have 11

do the math

last night's loss was killer

we can do it, but hardly likely at this point, especially as we essentially need to pull an 11 game winnig streak. We win 3 in a row and they lose 3 in a row beginning tonight and the odds change dramatically - but that is hardly likely.

If the twins blow it, it won't be the biggest flop in abseball - maybe the '64 Phillies have that honor for this stage of the race - but hardly, remotely likely that will happen now.

Do I still hope? yes.

Am I making plans to come to Chicago in october for baseball? Not at all.

Have I given up? No.

Do I think we will do it? No.

The one thing about baseball is that anything can happen. The deciding factor may well be how we play tonight with Colon pitching. If we win that's a 1 1/2 game deficit. Maybe just maybe the Tigers will pull a miracle, plus I think the Indians can play the Twins close. The Indians and Tigers have nothing to play for except pride and I bet they would love to take out the Twins. Let's see whether our team's pride translates into victories.

Your not crazy and we shouldn't give up just yet. However, if we lose tonight chances are then slimmest-to-none.

season's over (clap clap, clap clap clap)

season's over (clap clap, clap clap clap)

being sung by joyful twins fans like a high school bball crowd

I'm glad the Twins will win the division.

Saves us the embarrassment of getting embarrassed in the playoffs and gives us the joy of seeing the Twins get embarrassed in the playoffs. They have s*** for starting pitching(Radke, Santana, Lohse, and the Choker, Kenny Rogers? Puh-lease), a bullpen that has Jesse Orosco in it(enough said), and an offense that has to be clicking to even be considered good.

The only two things they have going for them are their defense and the Metrodome effect, and we found out that this team doesn't take advantage of that as well as the 87 and 91 teams did.
