OmarComing25
QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Apr 27, 2016 -> 09:40 PM) 3 of our 6 losses have come in his starts. We've lost every time we takes the mound. We won 43% of his starts last year even with that dreadful offense. He's due for a win.
pettie4sox
I think you give people a day off tomorrow. Avi in the field, Sands, Saladino, Sanchez should all be in the game.
bmags
I saw Danks throw a 1-0 shutout v the Orioles on July 3rd last year
chw42
QUOTE (joegraz @ Apr 27, 2016 -> 09:03 PM) Coulda done without that. Ignorance is bliss.... Hey we won with Gonzalez. Offense just has to show up tomorrow.

pettie4sox
QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Apr 27, 2016 -> 11:06 PM) Ozzie called, he wants his Sunday lineup back. With Danks pitching and your guys needing a rest, why not?
Rowand44
QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Apr 27, 2016 -> 11:10 PM) With Danks pitching and your guys needing a rest, why not? So we're just going to concede every game Danks pitches? We do know that Danks was good in a lot more of his starts than he was bad in last year, right? We do know that Danks was good in a lot more of his starts than he was bad in last year, right? This business is about, what have you done for me lately. Last year Danks is history, this years Danks has not been good. That doesn't take away from the point that these guys need a break. They haven't had an off day in a minute. OmarComing25
QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Apr 27, 2016 -> 11:18 PM) So we're just going to concede every game Danks pitches? We do know that Danks was good in a lot more of his starts than he was bad in last year, right? He gave up 3 runs or fewer in almost 70% of his starts last year. But people act like he gives up 8 runs every time out.
LittleHurt05
QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Apr 27, 2016 -> 11:10 PM) With Danks pitching and your guys needing a rest, why not? Wouldn't it make more sense to rest your top hitters when Sale is pitching? If your pitcher is not gonna give up runs, then you need less offense. When your worst pitcher is on the hill, wouldn't you want your best offense on the field to score as much as possible? I know it's a long season but you don't just concede games, you can rest players periodically. The Orioles aren't exactly throwing Clayton Kershaw out there either. Rowand44
QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Apr 27, 2016 -> 11:20 PM) This business is about, what have you done for me lately. Last year Danks is history, this years Danks has not been good. That doesn't take away from the point that these guys need a break. They haven't had an off day in a minute. It's been 3 games, we're still not sure what John Danks of 2016 is. Recent years data tells us he's going to have some god awful games but he's also going to give you a chance in a lot. We also have no idea if players need a break at the moment. Just because we've been playing a lot doesn't mean these guys are tired at the end of April. Some might be but a lot of guys are seemingly hitting their stride right now too. All I know is sitting half your guys because f*** it, Danks is on the mound is quite the silly idea. ChiliIrishHammock24
QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Apr 27, 2016 -> 11:25 PM) Wouldn't it make more sense to rest your top hitters when Sale is pitching? If your pitcher is not gonna give up runs, then you need less offense. When your worst pitcher is on the hill, wouldn't you want your best offense on the field to score as much as possible? Then again, you don't want to waste any good starts from your pitcher by having your team struggle to score 1 or 2 runs.
ronkark
I don't know about resting everyone but Sanchez prob needs a start and Navarro needs a rest. And have Lawrie or Frazier sat at all? Not that I want to but maybe Saladino for one of them. Love the way they're playing. And love the gesturing to the dugout. They're having fun. Looks like a great mix. Dick Allen
The team should just forfeit and play Friday. Then everyone gets their rest and the worst pitcher who ever pitched gets skipped. No reason to watch this one.
