DonkeyKongerko
No reason to be angry, we probably expected too much from these underachievers to begin with. That makes alot of sense actually. I have to agree. This team plays around .500 ball and has the past 2 seasons. They played below .500 early this year then rocketed above. They really are as good as they were the last two seasons. Mediocrity reigns.
Flash Tizzle
Gordon has shown good stuff tonight, he strikes out the side. Season in the balance of the 9th inning.

The season is over, we aren't gonna do a damn thing except go down 1,2,3.
elrockinMT
I got kicked off the internet for some reason, but I see I didn't really miss anything yet. Gordon is in and if there is anything good from this series it's been seeing a super bullpen.

DonkeyKongerko
You know what's about the most useless thing in baseball, a good bullpen on a bad team.

elrockinMT
We can beat steady Eddie. However, only if we are patient. Can Sox hitters do that?

Flash Tizzle
Im not doubting you aboiz, a 1,2,3 9th inning only makes sense. Corpseball predicts it to happen.

Guest JimH
Perfect example of what's deeply wrong with this team ... 8th inning for the Sox, they're out in 4 pitches total ... Lee and Thomas pop out and Ordonez lines out. It sure didn't look like they were interested in battling during those at-bats. Thomas, who's supposed to be a leader, a franchise mantlepiece, hits yet another weak foul pop up. Then, Pierzynski comes up, sticks his elbow out, and gets on base. The problem there is, Pierzynski should have been sent an undeniable message by Sox pitchers way back in April ... you don't pull any of that bulls*** with us or your ass is in the dirt. All this "turn the other cheek" stuff is not winning baseball. This team has no scrap, no willingness to battle, and they don't get offended by the other team one-upping them, as Pierzynski did by sticking his elbow out. And Hawk goes, "that's the type of thing pitchers remember." Well yeah, maybe, Hawk. But isn't the bigger issue why the Sox pitchers haven't knocked Pierzynski or some of these other pricks on their ass back in April, May, etc.? The tone is set by the manager. Either the players listen or they don't. And in this case, it doesn't matter because the results speak for themselves.
