SCCWS
My only regret is Sale misses Red Sox series. Boston can hit like hell but they have lousy pitching. SWEEP BOSTON
southsider2k5
QUOTE (shysocks @ May 1, 2016 -> 04:48 PM) Also, I know we discussed this plenty in the game thread, but it can't be emphasized enough. Gerry Davis just vomited out an all-time bad performance by a home plate ump. The game thread had some gems of its own. Seriously, it looked like we lost by ten runs at points. Dick Allen
I do think that was the worst ball/strike game I have ever seen with pitch trax available. And I don't think it was particularly close. He called double digit strikes balls and double digit balls strikes easily. That Navarro AB should cost him something.
bmags
With the off day finally approaching, it's worth some reflection. I saw that April schedule and just prayed we could come out of it at .500. We came out of it with the best record in AL. 27 games in 28 days. 17 away games. Incredible.
SoxAce
QUOTE (flavum @ May 1, 2016 -> 05:51 PM) Going to complain when Zimmermann wins Pitcher of the Month? Love Sale, but he's not even the best pitcher in Chicago currently.
Jake
QUOTE (SoxAce @ May 1, 2016 -> 09:04 PM) Love Sale, but he's not even the best pitcher in Chicago currently. Yep, that's Quintana
OmarComing25
With just over 20% of the season's road games in the books, Sox already have 33% of last year's road win total. Also, today's ump makes me hope robot umps happen soon.
greg775
QUOTE (Jake @ May 2, 2016 -> 02:19 AM) Yep, that's Quintana Line of the year! Ba Boom! Great road trip. Excellent job by the White Sox and Robin/Coop. I will say too bad won/loss record doesn't mean anything anymore. Sale's six wins against no losses would have impressed the masses when won/loss mattered. I love Sale's maturation as a pitcher. Good hitting again. A. Jackson has put the .100s behind him and is climbing well over .200. A blowout win. I'll take it.
Dunt
QUOTE (SoxAce @ May 1, 2016 -> 08:04 PM) Love Sale, but he's not even the best pitcher in Chicago currently. This Albers run has been pretty prolific
Quin
QUOTE (Jake @ May 1, 2016 -> 08:19 PM) Yep, that's Quintana I know Latos had a bad start, but come on, he's still pretty cool.
Kalapse
QUOTE (SoxAce @ May 1, 2016 -> 08:04 PM) Love Sale, but he's not even the best pitcher in Chicago currently. The Padres suck but what Kershaw did today was incredible and this is year 6 of his reign. Hard to say Sale is the best in the game when we have one of the absolute greatest of all time in his prime killing people every 5th day. Quin
QUOTE (kapzk @ May 1, 2016 -> 11:22 PM) The National league is soft. And Kershaw is God. I love Sale, but as long as Kershaw keeps this up, he's #2.

reiks12
QUOTE (flavum @ May 1, 2016 -> 03:02 PM) Phillies going for a sweep of the Indians. The stat geeks still like the Indians for some reason. They can get hot at any moment. The Indians are pretty good on paper
