BigHurt3515
We are the only team in the AL with less than 10 losses Edited May 2, 2016 by BigHurt3515
southsider2k5
We are also four wins ahead of the next highest win total in the AL, and the first in MLB to 18 wins.

Dick Allen
For a team with a front office who get to work in a clown car, a manager who shouldn't manage a lemonade stand, and a roster full of has beens and never weres, they are doing pretty well, although if you read gamethreads, should be doing better. OmarComing25
Another fun note, with Price getting rocked last night Quintana now has the lowest ERA in the American League over the past calendar year.
Dick Allen
QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ May 2, 2016 -> 09:13 AM) Another fun note, with Price getting rocked last night Quintana now has the lowest ERA in the American League over the past calendar year. On the board last week since he started his career, the only lefties in the AL with more quality starts are Price and Sale. He probably is the most under the radar pitcher in baseball. Even the opposition doesn't give him his due. See Donaldson . I will take the results.

Thank you. In a new world that has the Cubs and Sox at the top of the standings it is good to know that some things do not change

Yeah, if the Sox get that far, good luck beating them in a playoff series where the rotation goes Sale-Q-Latos-Rodon-Sale-Q-Latos. Even if you assume you beat Rodon, which isn't a given, you still have to win 3 games against the other three.

Hopefully Rodon will improve to offset that Back end of the bullpen could also potentially be Fulmer/Nate/Albers/Robo in some order later in the season if we're in the race still which would be nas-tee. bmags
Rodon is going to continue to improve. He's got a great defense behind him now, he'll learn to trust to pitch to contact. Feels so amazing to be 10 over after April. I remember how excited I was when we hit that mark in 2012 in July. Felt like we had finally turned the corner from the 09-11 years. We did it right away, which has boded well for us in past (2000,2005, 2006 )

flavum
Fun note: After McCutchen hit a homer off Jason Hammel, the only starting pitcher to not give up a homer this season is Jose Quintana. CaliSoxFanViaSWside
Fun Note: I put this in another thread but I'll repeat it. Sale is the only lefty to start May 6-0 since Randy Johnson in 2002 when he went 24-5 and won his last Cy Young at the age of 38.

TheChrisSamsa
QUOTE (coco1997 @ May 2, 2016 -> 11:54 AM) Let's see how the rest of the season plays out for Latos before we start putting him up there with Sale and Q. If you remove the anomaly that was 2015, Latos is 56-40 with a 3.27 ERA for his career. I don't think he'll go undefeated, but we can have some confidence that he'll put up a good year.
