Buehrle>Wood
QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ May 9, 2016 -> 07:51 PM) Gonzo is so much better than danks. He at least will give the team a chance I feel. Yeah even though his 1st start was bad at least his stuff was there. Glad we have gotten to see him again.
BaconOnAStick
Should Frazier still be batting 4th, or should they wait to start losing?
Bigsoxhurt35
QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ May 9, 2016 -> 07:48 PM) At this point I would give him the majority of the starts. He is way better on defense and he provides more pop at the same average Rollins does. Guess you could. Then move Lawrie to the 2 spot and Saladino bottom of the order. With Avi hitting lasers maybe he can now be behind Melky.

chw42
QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ May 9, 2016 -> 07:55 PM) This. Package around Fulmer I'm sure. No thanks. Gray looks like a candidate for elbow issues.
chw42
QUOTE (fathom @ May 9, 2016 -> 07:57 PM) Some bad at bats against Lewis What new? We can't hit the guy. Our best bet is to raise his pitch count and get into the bullpen. Edited May 10, 2016 by chw42
chitownsportsfan
QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ May 9, 2016 -> 08:56 PM) Yeah even though his 1st start was bad at least his stuff was there. Glad we have gotten to see him again. right, his stuff hasn't been awful,it's been "if he can command it some he might be ok" sorta decent. A lot like Latos really. Danks with his constant lack of command and 88 mph fastball was just not giving the team a chance.

BigHurt3515
Lewis had a BAA of around .280, we have 1 hit in 4 innings (1st batter of the game)

BaconOnAStick
Hawk saying Cubs aren't a good defensive team might be one of the most inaccurate things he has ever said Bryant is a bad 3B that is being inexplicably buoyed in defensive ratings. Seriously, he's Gillaspie-bad at 3rd but the metrics love him. Soler sucks in RF. Fowler is average CF playing over his head, you really think Zobrist is an all world 2B? There's a lot of smoke and mirrors masking the Cubs defensive weaknesses no doubt about it.
chw42
I think Diaz's strike zone is really helping out both pitchers right now.

chw42
Gonzalez is inducing a lot of weak contact. Outside of Beltre's weird hit and Wilson's line drive, nobody's hit the ball that hard off him.
