Ducksnort
QUOTE (joegraz @ May 10, 2016 -> 08:32 PM) Lawrie has been swinging for the fences for the past few games. Hopefully they aren't trying to swing for the fences in this wind
Condor13
Rodon just threw good enough to end the 1st inning with only 12 pitches and no runs and everyone is piling on him like he is pitching bad, wtf is wrong with some of you. That inning was solely the product of bad outfield play. He gave up 2 hits, got a shallow fly ball and a double play ball. If Sale did that everyone on here would be so far up Sale's ass they wouldn't know if it were night or day outside.

ChiSoxFanMike
Why is he not using his slider at all? That's probably why he's been ineffective.

You're right about the outfield play, but his pitches were meat. No disrespect...just observation.

BaconOnAStick
Damnit that single was just bad luck. When you're a guy like Rodon who can K a lot of batters, but aren't K'ing any batters, you make your own luck. Teams put the ball in play way too much against Rodon, plus the amount of walks he has... this isnt bad "luck", this is a pitcher who doesn't look like a MLer. Green Line
I would be ok with a long rain delay. Not liking the sox mojo to start this game, maybe a couple hours will change things.
Princess Dye
20 months ago Rodon was pitching in college games. Seems many here dont grasp that to move that fast into being an above average pitcher is very hard to do. The one hard hit ball so far was an out, btw.
