flavum
QUOTE (BlackSox13 @ May 18, 2016 -> 06:24 PM) Anderson triples in his first ab and is now batting .301. I'm not saying "bring him up", but I'd be curious to know what the opinion of people watching him everyday is on his readiness. Obviously more seasoning would be a good thing, but the thought of a true under-25 rookie in the everyday lineup is an exciting prospect for a contending team. flavum
Turner through 3 without walking anyone. Did give up a homer to Vargas.
NorthSideSox72
Really need to get Delmonico to AAA. He's been perhaps the best performing hitter in the minors for the year so far, and this is his 2nd AA visit (though last year was like half a season). Problem is, Davidson and Hayes are both hitting very well, and Ishikawa is their AAAA guy at 1B/DH. Might be time to jettison Ishikawa though, as it seems the club has some other options for the MLB club now in an emergency.
BigHurt3515
QUOTE (flavum @ May 18, 2016 -> 06:35 PM) I'm not saying "bring him up", but I'd be curious to know what the opinion of people watching him everyday is on his readiness. Obviously more seasoning would be a good thing, but the thought of a true under-25 rookie in the everyday lineup is an exciting prospect for a contending team. He is on a hot streak but I want to see him be consistent after he gets off this streak and not just go cold
flavum
Turner through 5. No walks. Gave up a couple homers. Probably the guy coming up Monday.

maxjusttyped
QUOTE (flavum @ May 18, 2016 -> 06:35 PM) I'm not saying "bring him up", but I'd be curious to know what the opinion of people watching him everyday is on his readiness. Obviously more seasoning would be a good thing, but the thought of a true under-25 rookie in the everyday lineup is an exciting prospect for a contending team. It's particularly exciting when he would fill a glaring need on the team. Not all development needs to occur at the minor league level. If he keeps hitting well for the next month or so, he should be called up and given the every day job.

Vance Law
QUOTE (flavum @ May 18, 2016 -> 04:35 PM) I'm not saying "bring him up", but I'd be curious to know what the opinion of people watching him everyday is on his readiness. Obviously more seasoning would be a good thing, but the thought of a true under-25 rookie in the everyday lineup is an exciting prospect for a contending team. He's not yet hitting as well as Sanchez was when he was down there. Or Leury. And I don't imagine his defense has surpassed either of them. And it doesn't look like he's improved on his selectivity at the plate.
