pettie4sox
I think Abreu did way worse than Sanchez. Atleast Sanchez made contact.
soxfan85
QUOTE (fathom @ May 19, 2016 -> 08:43 PM) Just sense a solo homer here Sounds about right. That's the script this team is following lately.
caulfield12
Hinch said "the approach was going to be to hunt fastballs early." https://t.co/OE9yR84jU3 That's not working out well so far. And now we have the most dreaded inning for all White Sox fans coming up, the next half after the offense has blown another big opportunity to add on a run. Black_Jack29
QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ May 19, 2016 -> 08:44 PM) I think Melky would be fine for it if we traded for a middle of the order bat but I wouldn't change a thing about Melky right now so a #2 hitter in a trade would be ideal. Robin may have to move Melky back to the 2-hole and rely on Lawrie to give Frazier protection. We don't have much left to trade and we need a #4 starter more than another bat right now. Abreu went up there and swatted at two terrible pitches. Someone tell him you can take pitches...
ronkark
THat's what I'm talking about with Abrue. 25% of season down and he's been well below par. Solo homers are swell but you gotta gotta GOTTA get the easy RBI and from time to time CLUTCH Rbi. Frazier has done it many more times than Jose this year. 3 pitch K? Really? Not even close to an all star this year. The league adjusted Jose. You need to adjust back. Get a grasp of the strike zone.
Black_Jack29
MLB needs to get rid of these maple bats. Somebody's going to lose an eye at some point.

soxfan85
QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ May 19, 2016 -> 08:46 PM) I think we all knew that was going to happen Yep, especially after the Sanchez AB. You could feel the Abreu strikeout coming. I just didn't think it would be on 3 pitches. Edited May 20, 2016 by soxfan85

caulfield12
You might as well hand Chris Sale the Cy Young right now if he records a shutout in this game.
OmarComing25
Though the Sox are 1-6 in the last 7 games the offense scored over 5 runs per game in that stretch. Been pretty unclutch in some key situations recently but overall I can't blame them too much. That was bad though.

caulfield12
Sale's ERA under 1.50 now. Pitch count in the mid-80's. Hate this decision coming up for Ventura...if he "sails" through the 8th, I hope to god Ventura leaves him in and doesn't bring Robertson into the game. Sale's the best pitcher in the world right now, and we really need this game, about as much as any game this season so far.
