YouCanPutItOnTheBoardYES!
...needs to start hitting like he's capable of in the near future. I love the guy, but he's been a major disappointment this year. The Sox are going nowhere if he doesn't get his s*** together. /rant
BigHurt3515
Like I said in the beginning of the year, he is the most frustrating hitter on this team by far. But people laughed at me
harkness99
He needs to lay of the fastball inside... a lot of our players have trouble with this - but he is the worst. Look for fast balls middle out and drive the ball to right field. If they dot the inside corner over and over again just let them.
Panerista
QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ May 20, 2016 -> 09:22 PM) Like I said in the beginning of the year, he is the most frustrating hitter on this team by far. But people laughed at me The level of hostility on this board has been rough lately. The fact is, Abreu has been really bad. Bad enough to call into question this team's ability to succeed. greg775
Batting him second is downright dumb. No reason for it. How bout fourth and keep him there every game of his Sox career. I can't believe Paulo Orlando beat us tonight. We play them 19 times. Bad to see him get confidence in Game One of 19. Cain also raked. We are in trouble. I look for Moose to be a problem tomorrow. The Beast
If only Sparks and Stevenson could tell all of the jackasses to stop swinging at the high ones and missing on balls in the dirt...Lawrie, Abreu and Avila need work. Avila looks completely lost at the plate, at least Abreu has good defense.

GGajewski18
I still think something is wrong with his right wrist. Swing is weird/different. Hits a HR and still slaps McEwing five with his left hand. Could be nothing, but something to keep an eye on.
caulfield12
QUOTE (Alexeihyeess @ May 21, 2016 -> 01:54 PM) A day off is needed Those offdays on Thursday and Monday seemingly made things worse, except giving the bullpen some rest. But yeah, four games in 3 days against the Indians, then 4 in KC (where we actually are much better than at home), then visiting NY and we also never tend to play well in DET, either. Brutal. Erik Johnson might be forced to take one on the chin MON to preserve the pen.
