QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ May 21, 2016 -> 12:37 PM)
So they played together

Benetti was right. Didn't realize Dyson had been playing in the big leagues (small role) since all the way back in 2010.

Seems like he's a lot younger than 31 years old with his energy level.

Dyson only played 25 for the Royals in 2011, so they played some together.

Lawrie needs to show his usual patience and not be swinging so early when they've got a good chance to get Chien Min Wing out there in the 4th or 5th inning if they can push up the pitch count every inning. Otherwise, he'll get 4 or maybe even through 5.

Completely disagree. Got a good pitch and had good swing. He's getting himself down in too many counts.

In this situation for sure a pitch to hit is a pitch to hit. He just didn't get enough of it.

Do you think they'll put that girl in the bullpen? "How would you like to be our 4th or 5th starter?"

We also need a stable #4 pitcher

Can't argue that point to much. I think at least Latos showed something positive early. Gonzalez can't hardly get farther than the 5th inning

Tim Raines similarity scores (* is HOF)

Lou Brock (863) *

Kenny Lofton (861)

Max Carey (850) *

Johnny Damon (848)

Willie Davis (838)

Jimmy Ryan (824)

Jose Cruz (822)

Julio Franco (818)

Fred Clarke (816) *

Enos Slaughter (813) *

Lou Brock is really a Hall of Very Good guy, but if he's in, Raines probably should be.
