caulfield12
Rollins swung at ball four, sigh. Got a gift call at 3-0 as well. You want to say things can't get any worse than this, but...

Baron
QUOTE (elrockinMT @ May 21, 2016 -> 03:50 PM) This isn't a situation or point in the season someone gets canned Sure it is. It's early. That's why it's good. They could give him June. But they could also risk being in a huge hole. It may not work. But it's the quickest way short of acquiring players to see if that'll wake anyone up. caulfield12
I can see that Rollins could steal a base, but Sands has been hitting really well that last couple of games. He's much more likely to homer there than Rollins (unless he's hitting RH against a LHP). Don't understand why he's PHing there at all. And why he wasn't starting against a LHP, but Saladino's been holding his own offensively.

We haven taken out Navarro to pinch run in the 8th a couple times this year so I know Robin doesn't care about the 1 catcher thing

caulfield12
Two weeks ago, even a week ago, heck yesterday...the Red Sox getting ahead of the Indians would have been exciting. Now it doesn't even feel like it matters. 3-0 Boston. Well, at least we can hold 1st until the DHer on Monday and Erik Johnson BP Day. I've seen better things from him this year but he still makes absolutely awful decisions on the regular and he can't lead men for jack s***. He's been ok this year...not great, not awful (outside of a game or so, but that is true for every manager). At some point though, you have to get results on the field. Same exact reason Hahn should be fired after this season if this team hovers around .500 again.

At some point though, you have to get results on the field. Same exact reason Hahn should be fired after this season if this team hovers around .500 again. Hahn deserves another year, he's slowly built the team up from the absolute bottom and now they are middle tier. RV does not deserve another year. fathom
So Soria this year is getting crushed by righties (.840 OPS compared to .560 by lefties). Jimmy Rollins has an OPS below .500 vs RHP this year, and Avi is at .753 vs RHP. Letting Rollins PH for Sands there is a decision that makes no sense on any level.
