soxfan85
Saladino will be one of those guys that is never very good. However, he will have 9 lives with the White Sox...just feels like one of those "guys." Gotta load 'em up for Abreu so he can jam himself one last time tonight. elrockinMT
Arrrggghhh! This team needs to be ripped apart from bottom to top and all sides and start over again. But, let's keep Ventura
BigHurt3515
QUOTE (soxfan85 @ May 23, 2016 -> 10:20 PM) Saladino will be one of those guys that is never very good. However, he will have 9 lives with the White Sox...just feels like one of those "guys." He is a great utility guy. He shouldn't be a starter for long with Anderson coming up but he is the best option at SS that is on the MLB roster right now
chitownsportsfan
QUOTE (fathom @ May 23, 2016 -> 10:20 PM) Actually a dumb play by Uribe not when you have that arm.
chitownsportsfan
QUOTE (elrockinMT @ May 23, 2016 -> 10:21 PM) Arrrggghhh! This team needs to be ripped apart from bottom to top and all sides and start over again. But, let's keep Ventura are we watching the same team? this team actually has some talent on balance, no smoking holes like usual. I see a solid club with a bad manager. Jose Abreu
I forgive Frazier there. 4-7 with a HR and BB on the day... plus great defense

Unfortunately, some fans are getting a little tired of those "utility" guys in their starting lineup. Like you said, hopefully he can revert to that role and Anderson can be a legit starter for us. SoxAce
QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ May 23, 2016 -> 10:22 PM) not when you have that arm. It wasn't smart with a 4 run lead. He's lucky the catcher didn't drop it. It was a great play since it worked. He must not feel the lead is big enough however m

chitownsportsfan
QUOTE (Tony @ May 23, 2016 -> 10:23 PM) If the Sox were up 5-1, Tribe had a runner on 3rd, and the Sox threw home and it didn't work out, everyone would go ape. Fathom is right, that's the type of play that can extend an inning for no reason. It worked out for Cleveland, but it was an unnecessary risk for them to take given where the score was. I dunno man, let's say for example another good defensive 3B comes home like that, maybe Joe Crede or Todd Frazier -- that's their game! That's why they are paid what they are... Yea sure if it's f***ing Conor Gillaspie go to 1st but Uribe has a gun and 98/100 he nails that throw. Uribe knows his skills.

SoCalSox
All in all, a double header split with the way this team is playing is not a bad thing. Sale & Quintana the next two days. Just have to hope KC loses one or it'll be a 2 game lead going into the weekend.

The Sir
QUOTE (soxfan85 @ May 23, 2016 -> 09:20 PM) Saladino will be one of those guys that is never very good. However, he will have 9 lives with the White Sox...just feels like one of those "guys. This. We need one of Saladino/Sanchez to ride the bench and rest Frazier/Lawrie/Rollins as needed. We do not need both. There's also no reason to have either of them in the 2-hole. Their OBP skills downright suck. The line of thought that Saladino should start over Rollins remains my least favorite on this board. Call up Anderson or stick with Rollins (which I favor), but Saladino would barely qualify as a starter in Atlanta.
