Buehrle>Wood
Looks like we're going with a 3 man bench, unless there's a move before today's game. You have Navarro, Saladino, and of course Jerry Sands who has some compromising pictures to blackmail Robin/Kenny/Hahn with. Anyways, that's not a lot of versaility. If you run with a 3 man bench, you need guys who can play multiple positions. Instead we have Sands, who can play only 1 meaning we don't have a back up OFer of Avi is DH. Before anyone says Sands can play the OF, no he cant and the White Sox don't trust him to. He's been out there twice all year for a total of 4 innings and never since his debacle of a performance in Texas. It just seems like that role wold be suited for someone, anyone, that does at least 1 thing well. Hit, run, play defense, play multiple positions. Even just 1 of those categories being filled would be nice.
Jose Abreu
I was surprised to not see a Shuck/Kahnle swap last night
TheTruth05
QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ May 24, 2016 -> 01:07 PM) I was surprised to not see a Shuck/Kahnle swap last night Shuck isn't good, seems like some of the board expects him to be the automatic call up everytime a move is made. Thank god they haven't because besides playing the OF better he's on par with Sands in the useless category.
ChiSoxFanMike
I don't particularly like Leury, but he makes sense as a bench option right now.

Dunt
If they are going to bring up an OFer, bring up Coats. See what some of these other guys have at this point. Sands, Shuck, Sanchez, Garcia, etc. are known quantities.
Bob Sacamano
I know it is thin, but is it really a problem? It features guys who most argue to be in the lineup a lot of the time (Saladino over Rollins, Sands over Garcia, people wanted Sanchez in the lineup when he was here). He at least gives you speed and position flexibility.
BamaDoc
I was thinking the other night that Sanchez needs to go down and get at bats and Sands need to go somewhere. Did not expect a Kanhle for Sanchez swap, expect him to go back down. Need left handed options and looking at roster can argue two of Hayes , Shuck, or Garcia. Never thought I would ever advocate Garcia but we have had times where a pinch runner would have maybe not had guys thrown out at the plate with the caveat of only if we had put the runner in. I think its between Hayes and Shuck. Garcia does give positional flexibility and I noted in the minors forum Shuck has played a few at first. I have no idea how he looked. So I expect Leury and Shuck in the next two weeks. I would go for Hayes as a lefty DH about half time with Avi. Hayes also could spell Abreu at first with Abreu DH. I think Shuck vs Garcia tough. I go Shuck. I can see pinch hitting Shuck but never Leury. So I see Shuck at times pinch hitting (Rollins) and or using Saladino to run more. Personally, I am at the point of starting each 3 games a week.(often 1 off day) Let Rollins get previously good match ups, although not a lot as he was a career NL player. Maybe vs LHP. What we really need is two or more hitters to go on a hot streak.

Would love a Dyson like guy on our team who can pinch run and steal bases late. Not a fan of his either, but at least he has speed for days.
