There's really no need to scoreboard watch 47 games into a season in my opinion. They just need to play better. Doesn't really matter what anyone else does at this point.

That is my opinion....the issue is this team is unwatchable currently. Bad baseball production with low IQ.

Can't put anyone away the last two games. Credit to Indians, they're playing much better than the Sox.

And their lineup is horrible. I can't believe this Indians team is doing this. It's eerily similar to how the Sox are traditionally put together with cheap veterans.

Agreed, it's shocking how they're getting production from such a bad looking lineup.

I think there is zero chance that they sell. With the guys they've acquired, they are in now. They'll try to acquire more and make another run next year. Next year's trade deadline could be the start of a rebuild though.

Perfect. They'll gut what little is left in the cupboard in an ill-conceived attempt to make the playoffs, fail to reach the post season, and then finally admit defeat over a year from now when Sale and Quintana have wasted the vast majority of their best baseball on garbage squads.

Jerry has got to realize at some point that the coaching and development are sub-par at best. Hell, almost the entire roster has changed since the start of the 2013 season and the outcome on the field is the same. At some point, they're gonna have to look in the mirror.

This team is toast.

I don't care if that sounds like hyperbole.

Look I hope they start playing better again but I'm not holding my breath. We've seen this show before. Re-run after re-run with no new episodes.

I'd rather rebuild than watch this garbage.

They're not going to rebuild with Quintana, Sale, Rodon, Eaton, and Abreu locked up for cheap. They are playing like s*** but it's a little early to want a selloff. I mean seriously people? Even with a loss, they are 6 games over and right in the race. It's not ideal because of their start. It's actually extremely frustrating because of their start but they haven't been this close in years. They are definitely staying the course.

If they tank again this year, Ventura/Bell/Steverson have to be fired.

You've got to hand it to the Indians, their approach this series is incredibly impressive. They've put together great ABs the last 2 games and absolutely demolished our best pitchers pitch counts so they have no chance of going deep. They are playing excellent defense and throwing strikes. Im kinda jealous actually, it seems like they were actually prepared for this series and realized how important it was.

No one would be batting an eye if they had started the season hovering around .500, but the team from April and the team on the field right now are complete opposites. That's the frustrating part.

Edit: and first place is really so irrelevant right now. It's a long season, it's going to be a tight race. Sox have to make sure they stay close until the deadline. A couple more pieces and some of these guys start picking it up and they have a real good shot.

Who knows...maybe the long trip will do them good.

We said that about the homestand last week lol they just need to play their way out of it. Until then, it's a rough ride.

Yep. Cooper preaches first pitch strikes and Cleveland isn't wasting any time swinging at the first pitch.
