GH, I appreciate your patience. We all know someone needs to be a voice of reason on this board.

After that series, reason is done with the White Sox. I need blood, and I need it now.

I'm sure Purke will get sent down or something

I remember when we used to be the team that scored runs after the 7th... this team sucks.

I had forgotten about that!

This is where you hope veterans like Frazier and Rollins can help pull a team back from the abyss.

This x1,000,000. Glad you have risen from the grave Balta join us in this trying time.

Half unbelievably busy and moving, half couldn't stand this team and just didn't want to waste my energy focusing on them. It's a holiday weekend so I'm sitting around drinking on a Sunday night so why not come by.

This game isn't on Robin at all

Sure it is. He brings Jones in for 6 hitters, gets one out before lifting him. Stayed with him too long, just like yesterday with Robo-choke.

I actually like Robertson, but again, Robin should know better than to put a closer in a non save situation. That's also on him. And then watching as he rotted on the vine to blow a massive lead.

For a second, it seemed the Tigers would only be ONE game back for 3rd but then OAK struck for 3 against Pelfrey.

Tigers still have the 8th and 9th to rally (3-2 A's going into the bottom of the 7th). Rich Hill out of the game now.

Yeah, he should have brought Jones in yesterday. Oh wait, seeing him today that wouldn't have worked. Putnam, no he pitched 2 innings yesterday. He should have closed w Kahnle...............no he didn't get it done yesterday. Damn Avi was available. He should have got a shot.

Harrelson did say the clubhouse was the quietest after yesterday that he could remember.

Well, after today...that's a Zombie Death Flight to NYC.

Sorry, misinterpreted what Fathom wrote before reading the article.

That's the one thing you almost never get out of either Hahn OR Ventura, any emotion at all. Sometimes it can be helpful, but not necessarily to act like a bird with its head in the sand ignoring everything going on around him.

A manager with his head in the sand will certainly get no respect from the players. He doesn't own up to his mistakes as an inexperienced manager.

It would be Shuck or Leury Garcia for Jackson.

Renteria's the clear choice for interim and potential for an extension if he rights this sinking ship. No way in hell it would be Bell.

I'd almost like to see KW pull a Dan Jennings and put his job on the line as manager. Now that, at least, would be entertaining.

Bourgeois would be my guess

Jones wasnt available after warming in the 7th Robin said. Part of his plan returning from TJS.

With the massive lead they had, if you bring someone in and they fail, fine...change them out. Even a b**** replacement pitcher should be able to accidentally get a few outs by virtue of chance. The issue is Robin sticking with people beyond the point of bend...he literally waits for the dyke to break to bring out the bags of sand.

Stop the excuses.

All you can do is laugh at these buffoons.

Mark

I can't. My gut has been sore from the other years of laughing. Many changes need to be made and my loyalty is challenged. Unfortunately I can't go all through the organization and punch them all in the nuts.

There isn't one person who thinks it's just the manager.

The manager is just one part of the problem... really don't see what it hurts to try something different.

this team has been mentally weak for 4 years... they collapse in key moments - it's what they do.

Ever since Kenny was the GM.

Who exactly was the GM in 05 then?

That's like asking who was the manager in 05?

You can get lucky once. Otherwise the pattern is there and before 2005. Most of the team where guys from other clubs.

Name one stat that points to 2005 being anything more than an anomaly.

White Sox led the AL in ERA and saves and complete games pitched. They had the best pitching in the AL.

I would imagine a Carlos Zambrano type pitcher would beat the crap out of the pen costing him a game.

I think it is time to fire Cooper.

Does Cooper even care about relievers? All the praise he gets is how he turns around starting pitchers. The Coop fixed em talk.

And KC was last in the AL entering this game in walks.

But every single rally in these three games was related to a huge walk (or more).

Infante/Escobar

Jennings LHP walking Dyson, a LHB FRI

Then again today.

The Royals get up for the White Sox. People don't want to hear it but it's true. We are their b****es for sure. But they get up for the Sox. One thing about the Sox, they are predictable.

The Texas disaster ... you just knew that was the end of our season. Sure nuff Sox lose tons of games after that Robin-Carroll choke and now this KC series, three Texas disaster type games in a row. There's no way this team is doing squat the rest of the year. How the hell could you ever trust this bullpen again after this series. It could implode at any time.

BTW, thank your lucky stars Ozzie and the boys had the gumption to get it done in 05 when we made the WS. Once we got there we went ahead and won four close games. If we don't win that WS, in retrospect, we don't win one in many of our lifetimes. At least Oz and the boys didn't choke that one away. This KC series made Chicago's Sox the laughinstocks of baseball. And it was a mediocre Royals team that did it.
