ronkark
Reality check for those pushing Todd Frazier for the All Star game. Offense: HR and run production very good. Average: terrible. .219. No all star should hit .219. Defense: Made some nice plays but some have compared to Crede. Frazier let two go under his glove that lead to runs in last couple weeks. Then tonight: two errors leading to two runs. U-G-L-Y But still not as bad as Abreu.

I don't get how he forgot how to hit lefties last two years. His bat speed is nothing like what it was in 2014. It's a meaningless stat relative to those that matters. His OPS+ is 121.
BaconOnAStick
Ventura isnt going to be with the team when they leave NY. The bad decisions are one thing but this team has obviously given up on the season because of one blown lead in Texas a few weeks ago. Cant have that, there's still time to salvage the season but the longer Ventura stays at the helm the more that light dims. Ventura may be #family, but Hahn is Circle of Trust, and they will gladly let Ventura fall on his sword to keep a senior member of the Circle like Hahn insulated. soxfan85
LOL Latos, fluke April and back to reality. Dumpster diving signing at it's finest. What a joke, how many more years of those kinds of moves and expecting to compete? Blow the darn thing up already. BaconOnAStick
What would you like to wager that he's still the manager on Thursday? Nothing of value, this is still the White Sox, but the thing about playing the Mets in NY (and making Harvey look resurgent) is the national attention that draws. Lots of people are wondering how the Sox, riding so high a couple weeks ago, look so bad now. Hahn is the one they really want to protect.
caulfield12
That Sheehan article is definitely worth reading. Forgot about the bunt by Saladino that happened in the Astros' series (ended up a 6-5 loss eventually) where Rollins and Abreu struck out against Giles. That was another worrying loss which looks even more indicative now from a retrospective glance at what happened went wrong. And then the Youkilis bunt back in September 2012 that pretty much directly led to the Sox blowing the lead. 4-0 Five of his last six starts, Latos has now given up 4 runs or more. He's cooked. How we got those first four starts out of him now seems like a minor miracle. And of course the leadoff walk scored as well. Everything's caving in and it doesn't get easier against deGrom tmrw. flavum
I want them to win, but I kinda want to see what happens or doesn't happen if they come home from Detroit under .500.
soxfan85
Better yet, Gonzalez vs. DeGrom tomorrow. Should be a doozy!! On the bright side, Cleveland is losing and hopefully that stands. Then, hopefully KC will lose and we will still only be 2 GB. YAY!! Pretty sad. I think this division is weak, too bad we aren't any good.

caulfield12
We're back to the "do we really want them to win OR do we actually want to see how many losses they can absorb before they have no choice but to do something about it?" Feels like 2013-2015 all over again. These same debates. Incredible.
