BigHurt3515
QUOTE (Jose Paniagua @ May 31, 2016 -> 10:32 PM) Saladino is still a 0 WAR player so i still consider that one spot where we could improve if there are bargain bin guys available Tough crowd
Jerksticks
I think saladino is our smartest hitter in the box. He's the first Sox hitter to actually play the game in the box since maybe Konerko? The rest of our team just swings hard as f*** at the baseball like children. Saladino always looks like he's playing the game- rare skill these days. BaconOnAStick
Eh, Lawrie also goes through streaks where he controls the zone as well as any hitter the Sox have had since Thomas.

Whatever site you looked at will not have included today's game which will glaringly affect that stat based on the relative few number of games he's played. Also, looking at WAR for the few number of games he's played is pretty silly.

This has been the most patient approach we've seen from the team in a lot of years. Sox are #16 in walk rate. They haven't finished that high since 2009. hogan873
Just about everything that had gone right when the Sox were streaking went right last night. Latos wasn't bad...he only had one bad inning, and two of the runs were unearned. But the timely late-inning hitting and the bullpen being good is what sealed the deal. The beginning of the game looked really bad with the errors and lackluster hitting. Once they were down 4-0, I thought for sure they were done. But they didn't give up. Let's hope they can win today and take the series.
