caulfield12
FRI Jordan Zimmerman vs. Carlos Rodon SAT Justin Verlander vs. Chris Sale SUN Anibal Sanchez vs. Jose Quintana Absolutely need to take 2/3 and send a message to the rest of the AL Central we're not going to be rolled over by everyone but the Twins. Indians and Royals have a pretty big four game series starting on THURS in CLEVE. Edited June 1, 2016 by caulfield12

caulfield12
http://sports.yahoo.com/news/tigers-remove...1112--mlb.html# http://www.freep.com/story/sports/mlb/tige...llpen/85264300/ Sanchez pulled from the rotation, looks like it will be Matt Boyd instead Sunday. Thankfully we miss Michael Fulmer the way he's pitching tonight against the Angels, has really improved from his first 2-3 outings.
The Ginger Kid
watched the game last night -- their bullpen is garabage
caulfield12
That has been Detroit and (while GM, Dombrowski's) Achilles' heel for nearly a decade.
Ducksnort
Going to the game on Sunday...went to a Sox game last year in Detroit and Quintana pitched...not a very good game for him. Cespedes hit a slam in that game. Hopefully this game with Q is different. Tigers are struggling. Beat the kitties while they are down!! I'm hoping for a sweep and some good offense in this series (at least in the final 2 games when Zimmerman isn't pitching, especially if they can get to that Tiger pen early). BaconOnAStick
I would kill for Detroit's bullpen after what I saw in KC.
caulfield12
The Tigers' bullpen was more of a dumpster fire 3-4 weeks ago than ours ever was...well, let's just say even Bill James wouldn't have been able to separate them. Logically, the next four games we should be cheering for the Royals because every statistical model has CLE coming out on top in the division. In reality, I guess a 3-1 split in favor of the Indians would be the most desired result. Edited June 2, 2016 by caulfield12
caulfield12
Detroit has shuffled their rotation a bit with Boyd joining and Sanchez banished to the pen. Bigsoxhurt35
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 1, 2016 -> 09:00 PM) That has been Detroit and (while GM, Dombrowski's) Achilles' heel for nearly a decade. Bigsoxhurt35
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 2, 2016 -> 01:16 AM) Detroit has shuffled their rotation a bit with Boyd joining and Sanchez banished to the pen. FRI Rodon vs. Zimmerman SAT Sale vs. Pelfrey SUN Quintana vs. Justin Verlander They better bomb Pelfrey. Zimmerman has been really good I can see being shut down that game. Verlander seems to be hit or miss the little bit I've seen of him.
shipps
QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ May 31, 2016 -> 10:21 PM) Carlos Quintana? Hahaha. I actually make this mistake ALL the time and have no idea why. Is it a mixture of Carlos Santana and Jose Quintana? I really have no idea why I keep doing it.

Is it a mixture of Carlos Santana and Jose Quintana? I really have no idea why I keep doing it. The Red Sox used to have a Carlos Quintana, and the above with players starting with Q. I've caught myself a few times, but have straightened it out the last year or so. Edited June 2, 2016 by Dick Allen
