What happened

Right after the strikeout and right before/right as he got pulled from the game, he started swinging his bat wildly in the dugout, hitting it against a bat rack (I think), trying to break it over his knee, etc.

All the Robin talk and the franchise being in trouble was laughable. If the bullpen was just bad in KC instead of horrible, the Sox sweep and are 10 over right now in first place. 2 huge wins. They are just as close to being 6-0 on this trip as 0-6. The dreaded lead off walk wasn't so dreaded today.

Hopefully they can get on a roll for a bit here. Need to have Abreu start hitting. He needs to try something different, maybe back off the plate a bit.

I'm glad we won this series, but Robin is still a s***ty manager. The complaints against him are far from laughable.

Robin did a great job w the bullpen today. 8 scoreless innings. Also great call letting Albers hit rather than pinch hit or even pinch run for him .

The bullpen did a good job today. Ventura had nothing to do with it.

Why do you say that? The Robin talk was totally justified. The team embarrassed itself totally in Kansas City and had played gawd-awful baseball since the Texas choke job. The team was so scared and shell shocked that that one relief pitcher hack couldn't even intentionally walk hitters he was choking so badly. He threw one past the catcher and almost did it again. He single handedly is the reason baseball probably shouldn't change the rule and just wave the batter to first on an intentional walk, which they are discussing. When your team is playing such clown-like baseball it's flat out embarrassing, yes, his proverbial head should have rolled. Renteria should be interim right now.

Anyhow, the Robin talk was not laughable. They'd lost 6-7 series in a row and in many cases were playing like buffoons. As far as rebuilding the roster/franchise ... this lineup is putrid. Thank goodness Albers whacked a double today or that would have been another loss. If ever a manager deserved to be fired it was Robin after the third KC choke job.

I dunno man, it just seems too pitchforky to me. Fact of life: nervous guys will always get nervous at the first sign of something going wrong. They'll snap to judgement, they'll blame, they'll get all flustered and butt-hurt, they'll make knee-jerk reactions, they want somebody's head on a platter. These are the sheep. Calm guys weather storms. Robin is a calm guy, a real man. I'm glad he's in charge. Many fans on this board can't handle the trenches and haven't the stomach for war. Just how life is. Let it play out.

I mean why can't Robin get credit for the dominating bullpen performances the last few games? Doesn't fit the nervous agenda.

My $.02
