hogan873
Matt Albers has caught his breath, and the rest of the team is ready to go after a day off following a marathon 13 inning win. Let's see if they can keep the winning streak alive. Carlos Rodon (2-4, 4.24) takes the hill against Jordan Zimmerman (7-2, 2.52). Unlike in the series with the Mets, a good number of the Sox have faced Zimmerman before. Jimmy Rollins has seen him 32 times and sports a .188 average against him. I imagine, however, that we'll see him in the lineup tonight. Go Sox!
caulfield12
Zimmerman has given up 15 runs in his last 27 2/3 IP over four starts, including 7 against the Twins. 4.88 ERA. Just 2 in his first 33 IP covering 5 starts. Detroit is reeling a bit, they had bases loaded with no outs last night down by 2 at home in the bottom of the 9th against Chapman...JD Martinez then hit into a DP to make it 5-4, and Miggy Cabrera grounded out on a 101 MPH fastball to strand the tying runner at 3rd. Chicago White Sox
Huge game as it's the only one in the series we don't have an obvious pitching advantage. Let's f*** these Tigers up! Go Sox!
TheTruth05
QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Jun 3, 2016 -> 06:32 AM) Huge game as it's the only one in the series we don't have an obvious pitching advantage. Let's f*** these Tigers up! Go Sox! +1 Rodon has looked sharper and sharper, Sox win as he continues his ascension and the offense gets enough to support him

Dunt
Small sample size, but Carlos has a 2.31 ERA over the last 14 days (2 starts). 4 of his 5 starts in May he gave up 3 or less runs.

YouCanPutItOnTheBoardYES!
QUOTE (knightni @ Jun 3, 2016 -> 09:43 AM) Zimmermann's first start since coming back from a groin injury. Will he be on a strict pitch count since he's coming back from injury?
knightni
QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ Jun 3, 2016 -> 11:57 AM) Will he be on a strict pitch count since he's coming back from injury? No idea at this point. Nothing's been reported so far and he hasn't had any pain or difficulty in his prep work. I have a feeling that Ausmus may take him on an inning by inning approach, though. Lip Man 1
It would be nice (and important) to start beating someone in the division not named Minnesota. Mark
captain54
QUOTE (Lip Man 1 @ Jun 3, 2016 -> 11:16 AM) It would be nice (and important) to start beating someone in the division not named Minnesota. Mark The Sox have 15 divisional games in June. Mix in there, Boston, Toronto and Washington. 3 off dates in June. You've got the Royals missing a few key pieces, Byrd for the Indians out for the year. And the Detroit rotation a mess That sweep in KC is gonna haunt the Sox. That's a series that should have gone the other way, with a Sox sweep. There are 20 something divisional games in September. By that time KC could be healthy again. SoCalSox
Melky out for this series. Placed on Emergency Family Leave. Recalled Kahnle. Must mean that Jackson is good to go.
TheTruth05
QUOTE (SoCalSox @ Jun 3, 2016 -> 01:10 PM) Melky out for this series. Placed on Emergency Family Leave. Recalled Kahnle. Must mean that Jackson is good to go. This is a huge hit to this lineup, really blows. Edit:And of course instead of calling up Coats or Hayes, they bring up a reliever. I don't get it. pettie4sox
Why do they need another RP? Call up one of the f***ing outfielders in Charlotte FFS.
fathom
Most importantly, hope everything is ok with Melky. But yeah, don't get not bringing up Coats at all.

caulfield12
Don't be too sure Jackson's ready...of course, you know that him and Avila would give anything to play in these games to prove the Tiggers wrong about letting both of them go. Shuck, Sands, Avi and Eaton. YAY! Edited June 3, 2016 by caulfield12
Jose Abreu
So one of Sands/Garcia will be starting in the field? great.
BaconOnAStick
Sands-Shuck-Eaton is so bad.
Jose Abreu
If Sands starts in the field, we'll lose. What's funny about that sentence is that it's not even an overreaction. The Texas game is all you need to know about his defense.

Lip Man 1
Unfortunate timing to be sure. This is where having a good bench really helps...unfortunately the Sox have no such thing. Mark
