Villalobos, 19, is a native of Venezuela. Anybody know anything about this kid ? Looks like he was on the Padres DSL team. Listed at 5' 9" 195 . Doesn't look like he has ever accrued any stats, found this from Facebook earlier in the spring: "Congratulations to Janigson Villalobos, who played for the Latin America champions from Coquivacoa, Maracaibo, Venezuela in the 2011 Junior League Baseball World Series in Taylor, Michigan. Janigson (#14 that year) went on to represent Venezuela in a Puerto Rico tournament last year and was named "best catcher." He just signed with the San Diego Padres in the Major Leagues and starts the year in the Dominican Republic. Thanks to Roberto Luis Jimenez for the update" Thats a pretty short run from April to June, so not sure why the Padres would quit on him quite so quickly. Just turned 19 on 5/10.
