Why are we still sending Matt Albers out there?

He's been humbled, but more than that, Humber-ed. As good as he was for a month, he's worse than that by 10 times now. He should throw BP for us. It might help our hitters get their acts together. Man, he's bad.

After Jennings fails, who else do you send out there in the 5th inning?

Maybe Gonzalez or Putnam (though Gonzalez is scheduled to start tomorrow).

Albers was awesome last year and for the first five or so weeks of this season. So while he may have been over-worked last month, his track record doesn't suggest that he's going to suck for the rest of the season.

I agree. You use the players you have in the roles expected of them. He has been very successful and now looks pretty bad. There is something physically and mechanically wrong obviously. Let's hope he finds it again soon

I read today where Robin said Putnam has a sore elbow again. I don't know what his status is or will be moving forward.

He has had shoulder issues each of the past 2 seasons as well. He can be really effective, but he isn't a guy you can count on answering the bell enough to hold down a late inning spot.

It was a semi idiotic post, but his point was that Albers is bad, and well, he's right.

After one month, we are in the process of declaring a guy BAD because he pitched poorly. Mike Trout is bad then too buddy.

I'm not a big fan of Matt Albers and didn't know how he was doing what he was doing, but to say he's dogs*** based on that would be to say that the entire league is dogs***.

Gonzalez isn't an option because of his start. With Albers moved out of the set up role, Putnam is there, which means then you are setting Albers up to be in the 6th or 7th inning instead of the 5th. That doesn't strike me as better.
