South Side Fireworks Man
QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 10, 2016 -> 08:24 PM) Ventura is absolutely awful. Just an insanely bad manager If they can DFA Latos, Danks and Rollins, why can't they replace Robin?
CB2.0
QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 10, 2016 -> 10:24 PM) Ventura is absolutely awful. Just an insanely bad manager He really is. Jennings now inherits corners and no outs. Thanks, Robin. There's 1 run. Where's SS2K5.....THIS IS WHY our Bullpen is worn out. NOT because we need 7 IP from a turd like James Shields over Latos. Because Robin uses a minimum four pitchers whenever a starter doesn't throw a complete game. Edited June 11, 2016 by CB2.
Jose Abreu
It's one thing to keep Sale out for the 7th, it's another to keep him in after a leadoff single. Unbelievable
The Sir
QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jun 10, 2016 -> 07:21 PM) Sample size. Hmm. Why didn't Emilio Bonifacio get the benefit of sample size? He got 82 PAs but people wanted his head on a platter. What makes Tyler different?

BamaDoc
Does Robin run the pitching staff or does Cooper? Serious question. I already stated I would not have had him out but how do you leave him in after first hit? I understand if he had been breezing for the game but he hasn't been. He would of been out with lighter load on his arm.
caulfield12
This feels like a game that the White Sox absolutely have to win right now. As we speak, Indians still batting with a 4 spot already up on the board in Anaheim... Sale should have his tenth win (again). All the feel good vibes with Tim Anderson having such a memorable debut. Ventura would have to be gone, IMO.
fathom
Also, how many hits can Escobar get in the 5.5 hole before they start shading him there. Has to be at least 5 in that exact spot
caulfield12
There's absolutely no defensible reason for leaving Sale in past that first hitter reaching. Too hot tonight, labored through nearly every inning but the 3rd, had 4 run lead (not even a save situation). If Ventura can't trust Albers/Putnam/Jennings in that situation, this team's not going very far...unless they plan on bringing Burdi and Hansen up, lol. Chicago White Sox
Based on the recent moves, it's pretty clear that Robin's fate is tied to the front office's. There is no way in hell that Hahn could think Robin is a good manager if he actually watches these games or checks a box score. I think if we don't make the playoffs or at least come close, both Robin & Hahn will be gone at season end.
