Jose Abreu
Anyone else agree that we should try a lineup like this? Eaton Abreu (DH) Frazier (1B) Cabrera Lawrie Garcia Catcher Anderson (SS) Saldino (3B) Maybe even consider Anderson 2nd if he hits well, and shift anyone else down. I think Saladino back at 3B like in 2015 could work out, and that way you let Abreu DH. You also give Frazier a break from 3B, as he is also a decent 1B
bmags
QUOTE (Condor13 @ Jun 10, 2016 -> 09:50 PM) If he slides the ball hits him and the 3B has no chance to catch it. Ha yeah that's a ridiculous assumption
Chicago White Sox
QUOTE (kitekrazy @ Jun 10, 2016 -> 09:51 PM) Reminds me of the time when Timo Perez was a DH for a game or two. Reminds me of the time Mark Kotsay was our DH for a season instead of Jim Thome.
Ducksnort
If KC is smart they will be patient this inning. We can only hope they aren't and hopefully this is a nice quick 1-2-3 inning
ptatc
QUOTE (TheFutureIsNear @ Jun 10, 2016 -> 09:50 PM) We really need another late inning reliever badly. What little we have is going to break down by August because we rely on them so heavily. Poor bullpen depth + a bad offense is a bad mixture. Or have your #1 starter go 7 innings. More starters to reach that numbers as well.

fathom
Abreu was out, slide or not. It's too shallow of a play to tag when the throw is that off and you're easily out

And that would also allow Abreu to DH Regardless, Morneau is going to be the DH come late July anyways. if Anderson does hit at least around the .270 mark, I think he will be the number 2 hitter. I think the lineup will look something like this vs RHP Eaton Anderson Abreu Frazier Cabrera Morneau Lawrie Garcia Avila
Bigsoxhurt35
I want Tim hitting 9th. No pressure and a good bottom of the lineup bat and speed.
bmags
Andersons contact ability and speed make him an easy pick for our managers as a #2 hitter
