Posey's smaller in terms of overall size/build, a better all-around offensive and defensive player. Hard to make comparisons between one of the 2-3 best catchers in baseball over a 5 year period and someone who hasn't swung a wooden bat as a professional yet.

Right now, Collins' game is 2/3rd's offense and 1/3rd defense, roughly. However, from everything Hostetler says, they plan on him sticking there as long as possible and won't contemplate a switch to 1B/DH/3B or corner of.

I think the better comp would probably be Evan Gattis.

It'll be interesting to see where they start him. After Smith went down the catchers got shuffled all over the org.

Hostetler said right after the draft that Collins would go to W-S, Burdi to W-S or even Birmingham, and Hansen to AZL to gain confidence.

Yeah, feels like Burdi's AZL stint will be as long as Fulmer's.

Oh please. No MLB team has a minor league squad in Antarctica. It's late June. Where is it cold?

He will be fine. Bogaerts grew up in Aruba and does just fine in Boston. Abreu is from Cuba. How has Vegas' Kris Bryant done with the Cubs?
