ptatc
QUOTE (bmags @ Jun 10, 2016 -> 03:35 PM) Kind of bizarre, played all 9 innings last night. Hope we like Avi Garcia in RF!!! Must have really been sore with decreased ROM today.
Black_Jack29
QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Jun 10, 2016 -> 03:00 PM) Sox definitely should have grabbed Jon Jay when they got Shields. LHB and good contact. I also foresee the Sox being outbid on Bruce, who is currently sporting a .900-ish OPS.
shipps
QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Jun 10, 2016 -> 04:00 PM) Sox definitely should have grabbed Jon Jay when they got shields. LHB and good contact. I think they really wanted him but the Pads must have wanted more in the trade.
ptatc
QUOTE (scotty22hotty @ Jun 10, 2016 -> 03:56 PM) Odds are surgery with 6-8 weeks recovery and MLB CF ready in 10 weeks. Trading for Bruce is highly likely now since he fills 2 holes. Sadly he's horrible in RF. Should be on the lower end of that at for the worst case scenario, if he needs surgery. More likely 4 -6 weeks.
bmags
For those that want Bruce, certainly discouraging that the Reds had such dislike for our prospects in the Frazier talks.

YouCanPutItOnTheBoardYES!
Petricka is done for the year? His injury must have been way worse than I thought.
SoCalSox
This is getting ridiculous. I don't mind Webb but Petricka gone for the year & Jackson out until after the ASB are both sizable blows.

SoCalSox
Sounds dumb but this is when we find out what type of team this really is. They got back to .500, well within striking distance at 3.5 games. Now they lose Jackson for 6 weeks & know they have no internal re-enforcement coming out of the pen w/ Petricka coming back for the year. June's schedule is pretty daunting & have a good amount of divisional games. They are finally losing players to injury. Every other team in the division has dealt with it already, so now it's time to see what the Sox can do with it.
daa84
I hope the news on Webb and petricka didn't sway the org into drafting burdi instead of others

Could be as little as 4 weeks with a rehab assignment. That's why they said 6 weeks minimum. Edited June 10, 2016 by ptatc

I'd be more concerned if they were winning.
YouCanPutItOnTheBoardYES!
QUOTE (ptatc @ Jun 10, 2016 -> 04:23 PM) What happened to him? He has a hip impingement. That's why they said 6 weeks minimum. Everything I've read is that the surgery is arthroscopic & that a player should be back practicing within 2-3 weeks. Good chance he's back in 5-6 weeks, honestly.
