bjm676
Coats should have gone with him.
Buehrle>Wood
QUOTE (bjm676 @ Jun 14, 2016 -> 10:37 AM) Coats should have gone with him. He's had a whole 9 at bats. And still has a higher OBP than Shuck. Edited June 14, 2016 by Buehrle>Wood
Princess Dye
QUOTE (bjm676 @ Jun 14, 2016 -> 10:37 AM) Coats should have gone with him. Stunning that the Coats HoF bust has gone to rust so quickly here
bmags
Danish has got to be pretty happy going to AAA. Even though he struggled I liked his stuff out of the bullpen. He can more easily hit 91 which sets up his secondary stuff more.
footlongcomiskeydog
Danish's stuff looks completely underwhelming. Does he project as a future starter or reliever? Maybe just a long relief guy like Scott Carroll? Kinda disappointed that he was brought up straight from AA. Did not help whatever trade value he might have had. Buehrle>Wood
QUOTE (Jose Paniagua @ Jun 14, 2016 -> 10:39 AM) Stunning that the Coats HoF bust has gone to rust so quickly here I hope Coats is in the field everyday as the roster is currently constructed. southsider2k5
No surprise there. I thought it was obvious that he was only here to fill innings when he was called up. What will be interesting is if they call up another player, or if they call up another pitcher.
TheTruth05
QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jun 14, 2016 -> 10:44 AM) I hope Coats is in the field everyday as the roster is currently constructed. +1 let the guy get some rhythm and AB's before we deem him a no doubt AAAA player. Also please let him play RF, no excuse he shouldn't when he's in the lineup.
Jose Abreu
I know Coats is better than the 3-pitch, 3-swings at balls, strikeout hitter he showed, but I'd rather give Bourgeios a chance if Coats keeps this up

Y2Jimmy0
QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jun 14, 2016 -> 11:21 AM) Ynoa called up Former top International Prospect and part of Shark trade. That deal ended up being: Semien, Phegley, Ravelo, and Bassitt for 1 year of Samardzija, Michael Ynoa, and RHP Zach Burdi.

That deal ended up being: Semien, Phegley, Ravelo, and Bassitt for 1 year of Samardzija, Michael Ynoa, and RHP Zach Burdi. It will be interesting to see if Burdi is a slot signing, or if they can save money to bring in some of the other high school picks.
flavum
Sox used 40 players last year, least in the AL. Ynoa, when he gets in a game, will be the 38th player this season.
NCsoxfan
QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Jun 14, 2016 -> 12:37 PM) Former top International Prospect and part of Shark trade. That deal ended up being: Semien, Phegley, Ravelo, and Bassitt for 1 year of Samardzija, Michael Ynoa, and RHP Zach Burdi. Don't forget the Cubs as they end up winning the Samardzija trade getting Russell. I'm fine with Ynoa and Burdi and taking the chance of Shark that one year. Quin
And hopefully Burdi becomes a shutdown closer or is stretched out into a starter.

oldsox
QUOTE (NCsoxfan @ Jun 14, 2016 -> 02:31 PM) Don't forget the Cubs as they end up winning the Samardzija trade getting Russell. I'm fine with Ynoa and Burdi and taking the chance of Shark that one year. At the time of the Ynoa/Shark trade, Hahn said he held out for Ynoa to be included, or words to that effect. That was his tough negotiating stance. We'll see.
