caulfield12
QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Jun 23, 2016 -> 04:01 PM) Chances Burdi is called up? He's not in Arizona anymore. Hahn is coming up with a new fireable offense every week if he does that. The White Sox system used to be good at least at producing serviceable relievers. Ynoa has some potential, but Beck just doesn't belong at the major league level. Albers is toast and his confidence is shot. Jennings and Duke have been the bright spots. Robertson is starting to teeter as well.

ChiSoxFanMike
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 23, 2016 -> 05:01 PM) GAME OVER Knew that was happening. Can't believe I just wasted five hours staying awake from 1 a.m. to 6 a.m. This team just doesn't have that killer instinct to put our boot down on another team's neck and crush them. The Red Sox gave us so many chances to sweep the series and we choked the bit. Where do you live?

It's not really the loss it's how it was loss.

ptatc
QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jun 23, 2016 -> 05:03 PM) That is KW fault yet he still is employed Unbelievable........
Jake
Bullpen wasn't great but our offense is still the overarching problem. Too many guys who can't handle the bat well enough to execute when situations call for a specific type of at bat. I like Anderson at the top of the order but he's the guy the opponents are dying to see in a situation when you need a strikeout.
caulfield12
The one thing the White Sox are CONSISTENTLY good at is playing just well enough when things are seemingly going south to keep everyone employed and the hamster/gerbil spinning on that wheel another year. Not really in it, but not completely out of it. Stuck in the middle. Same arguments everyone is having about the Bulls' situation going forward. kitekrazy
This was pretty much an all around mental midget performance. Infield was terrible, GU Suck made the first out on bases loaded twice. Shields needs to put in veteran innings. They deserved the loss. Once again they can't seem to have a streak of more than 2-3 games and just prefer to be just below .500. A dog returns to its own vomit.
caulfield12
QUOTE (ptatc @ Jun 23, 2016 -> 04:06 PM) Unbelievable........ Here we go...nobody can even figure out who to blame, as it's really genius in terms of front office construction to insulate both KW and Hahn from criticism. Yes, they didn't do well in the clutch situations, but when you score 7 runs in a game, you should win that game.
Jake
I actually thought Beck looked decent. We really need to get rid of Purke though, but I don't have an obvious answer for a replacement. Losing Putnam, Petricka, and Webb really strains things.
caulfield12
Beck didn't have much command with his fastball. He threw it 94-96, but it was his slider that saved him today. And Webb wasn't counted on by anyone to be a part of the bullpen. He was just AAA depth. Edited June 23, 2016 by caulfield12

I'm forgiving Beck for some command issues in the second MLB appearance of his career. He wasn't walking anybody as a reliever in AAA. Webb was depth, but the whole point here is depth. Webb was the first guy to get the call from AAA but now we're into the Purkes, Kahnles, Becks, etc. of the world. It would be nice to bump off the next weakest link and have Webb. When saladino went in to run for avila, navarro should have hit for schuck. What is the purpose of Avi? He's had almost 250 PA and his wRC+ of 81 is actually WORSE than last year. I'm sick of these bums. Why are we the only f***ing org that cannot find a cheap, halfway productive DH? Scouting, that's why. Scouting and player development.
