footlongcomiskeydog
QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 28, 2016 -> 08:07 PM) That was ugly. Everyone out in front on that changeup Kyle Gibson just owns the Sox. Always has and apparently always will.
caulfield12
Gibson will also kill you with sinkers, forcing you to hit it into the ground. No surprise to see a low-scoring game, regardless of the 6ish ERA from Kyle coming in.
SoCalSox
Why not bunt Eaton there? People always bash bunting but at least the runners would have gotten over & it would be tied up right now w/ an Abreu sac fly. Seems like the majority of the time the Sox don't bunt in those situations, they don't get the runners over anyways.
caulfield12
Almost wishing Ventura had Eaton bunting. Almost. Because giving Q a 2-1 lead there was almost more important psychologically for Jose than playing for the big inning at home and early. Bob Sacamano
QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 28, 2016 -> 08:05 PM) Cubs already said they won't do that I think I read they wouldn't do it for Chapman. But 2.5 years of Miller may be enticing especially since Schwarber doesn't really have a position anyway.
