OK get rid of Lawrie and it'll be Davidson at third, Anderson at short, Saladino at second and Frazier DH.

That's a start. Saladino and Davidson and Anderson have a fighting chance.

Lawrie is the least of this team's concerns. He's been decent and actually pretty good in spurts. Plus his energy is something this team needs.

Lawrie is going to hit 20 homers and play solid 2B. Good enough for me.

greg complains about how the team has no fire and no one wants to fight the Royals, yet wants to get rid of the one guy who actually has gotten in a fight with them.

Once Greg hates a player there's really no going back for him. Show him all the stats you want, he'll just bury his head further in the sand. It's his M.O. for this message board.

No, Applebee's Topeka/Lawrence boards....then he can join the Stormchasers if he passes his probation period and doesn't lose anyone else their house in the process.

Or we can send him to hang out with Adam Dunn, LaRoche and Alex Rios in their retirements. Maybe they can have a school to teach every pull happy power hitter to bunt to the opposite side against the shift...or do the 'ol Butcher Boy?

Assuming Davidson starts today in Game 79:

Sox players:

2015- 40 total/ 21 pitchers

2016- 40 total/ 22 pitchers

(Not including position players pitching a random inning)

Sox were pretty healthy last year. Too bad Samardzija was garbage, and a few other factors.

This move is a bit of desperation .. Davidson at his best will come up at hit ...240 and provide some power. Any extended stay and he'll be absolutely

Hopefully h'll hit like 3 dingers this week.. much rather see May

Well guess we should just never make moves.

And May would be the wrong callup right now. They need a 1B/3B, not another OF.

Take a timeout Greg, this is a horrid post.

Many on this site and over at Future Sox care way too much about strikeout rate. It's like people constantly focus on it and ignore the positives with guys. It's always, "Yeah but that K rate". Kris Bryant had a 30% K rate last year in the majors and was consistently in the mid 20's in the minors. Matt Davidson obviously isn't Kris Bryant.
