southsider2k5
QUOTE (Insp @ Jul 6, 2016 -> 08:40 PM) Yes, but given how many pitches he keeps on throwing, there's no chance that this will be a complete game for him. Welcome to 2016. If your 5th starter gets you 6 quality innings, you are golden.

caulfield12
The Yankees fans' don't have much faith in their aging team this year, pretty much no buzz around that team (other than will they stand pat or sell off Chapman, Miller, Beltran, etc.) playing in what looks like the best division in baseball. Just not much interest in either team right now (except for Anderson/Sale/Eaton/Q interest). Sox, though, are going to pass the Royals if they hold onto this lead. A big move for a bat or at least a smaller move to improve the bullpen would help to improve the interest level. Fulmer, maybe Morneau hitting like his 2014 version, all of those would be nice for fans. Edited July 7, 2016 by caulfield12

Thad Bosley
Seven innings, very strong appearance for Miguel: no runs, only five hits, one walk through seven innings. Take that every time!
southsider2k5
7 innings of shutout ball for Gonzalez. That is very nice medicine for the pen.

ptatc
QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Jul 6, 2016 -> 08:12 PM) He used to try and kill every worm on the way to the base with a 18 hopper from center field. Something about RF has allowed him to fix his launch point. Someone pointed out to me this spring that he actually had one of the highest recorded velocities from the OF last year in all of MLB (when I said he had a weak arm) but actually it was mostly just a really s***ty launch angle. Not to mention that it was another year post shoulder surgery.

caulfield12
Fathom deserves some kind of award from the moderators for most consistent game thread poster....lifetime achievement award? He's been much calmer than I would have thought in the face of the Cubs' onslaught (which has recently become panic in a burning theatre for Cubs' fans). fathom
Just catching up on the Dvr of innings 2-7. That 2nd inning burst came out of nowhere. Avi deserves a lot of credit for the big RBI. Gonzalez pitched great as he had solid command.

He's just doing that to increase the post count. That why he can say the win today had as many posts as the loss yesterday. although he'll need to do it many times over to get it there. Ah yes, the playoff hunt. With a handful of teams currently ahead of us for the second wildcard playoff spot. Can't imagine why the Cell isn't completely enveloped in pennant fever right now. Wow the ignorance some of you are showing... You have never noticed that when the white sox games are not on CSN that the threads are much smaller? It's really that simple.
